Too much the UK media portrays London as being the UK and never lift their eyes above the M25. I cycle in Sheffield, and the biggest problem is the hills, not the other road users.

I thought the most balanced view I heard was that of the bike cop – I could quite happily have watched an hour of him and I think had the programme makers done that I would have come away with something representative of what I see as a daily commuter in London. And that’s not just cars, but cyclists running red lights etc.

With the exception of the mother of the girl who died, I found a lot of the other interviews were quite polarised and it was predictable to know what the cyclist or the taxi driver were going to say. Misrepresented or not, certainly don’t think Gareth does himself or cyclists in general any favours.

So I too was a little disappointed but more from the polarity aspect than from anything else.
